Thanks for stopping by. My web design and development portfolio is undergoing some beatifications at the moment. Shouldn’t be too much longer… so stop by again soon for updates.

Biography

Polaroid of Lauren Egan

Lauren Egan has been designing and developing dynamic Web sites for over five years. She carefully plans, designs, constructs, tests and optimizes custom, cross-browser compatible Web solutions. She specializes in designing and translating mock-ups into hand coded, launch-ready, table-free, valid XHTML/Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) Web pages. Mrs. Egan’s ability to implement Web pages that meet Section 508 of Americans with Disabilities Act and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Priority Level 1 – 3 makes her a valuable asset to any project, especially government clients. She devises dynamic Web pages using progressive enhancement - separating content from style and behavior.

Currently, she is the lead developer and co-designer at Qnexis, Inc. for the rebuilding and rebranding of the Judge Advocate General’s (JAG) Corps of the United States Navy Web site which launched August 13, 2009. In approaching this project, Mrs. Egan identified the taxonomy and information architecture issues and developed a solution that would streamline the delivery of information and usability of the site. She condensed and optimized content from over 280 Web pages to less than 100 pages resulting in increased access to vital legal services.

Mrs. Egan has a Master’s Certificate with Concentrations in Web Coding and Graphic Design and Foundation Certificate for Web Design from Sessions Online School of Art and Design.
